Hello, I’m Mary!

I grew up in a small town in Southwest Iowa as one of ten children, where creativity was part of everyday life. I’ve always loved making things — from sewing Barbie clothes with my sister to exploring new techniques as I grew older.

Over the years, I experimented with stitching, quilting, and paper arts, eventually discovering that I was most drawn to mixing materials, colors, and textures. That realization led me to embrace my identity as a mixed-media artist.

Color fuels my creativity — the more I explore it, the more inspired I become to create. Joy and hope ground me, and I choose bright, bold colors because I believe they can bring light, encouragement, and joy to others.

Today, I create vibrant, layered artwork that celebrates joy, courage, faith, and hope.
